| A mixture of sod sodium azide and iodine in potassium iodide in solution is a robust reagent, that will keep. A little sulfide will catalyse the redox reaction. Iodine is reduced to iodide (no colour) and azide is oxidised to nitrigen molecules (bubbles). | ||||
